Plundered by humans of their habitats, animals take a drastic step when they decide to send a team of a cat named as Katy and a dog named as Dug, to an invisible island known, as the Island of 'Five Hundred Graves'. The island becomes visible only for a short time on the night of the full moon. Legend has it that the island is inhabited by the demons. Katy and Dug are supposed to negotiate a deal with the demons, convincing them to allow the animals inhabit the island. Majority of the animal community believe that tinkering with the other world could bring their wrath to the animals. The team is sent to the island nevertheless. But can a deal with the dead be materialized? Are there really demons on the island? Is there any conspiracy involved? Will Katy and Dug b...

The Dazzler

Roshni as her name suggests is a dazzling personality – bright, chirpy, strong, independent, and vivacious with a witty sense of humour. Professionally she is a creative head for a leading magazine and by passion she is a dreamer who dreams of beautiful tomorrows full of sparkling possibilities. She is known in her entire office for her sparkling smile which could make the toughest of hearts smile.  She is affectionate and caring because of which anyone feels comfortable sharing their darkest secrets with her. No wonder she is the undisputed best friend everyone could count on. Life till now has not been easy for her but then even gold has to pass the fire test to prove its mettle. Maybe it is this facet of hers which makes her deal with all that comes her way with a smile, be it bouquets or brickbats. Her only problem is she does not know her self-worth and only a genuine person can see what a gem she really is. For me, she is a MIA woman. A woman who is the epitome ...

A night to remember

Sarika Mishra – Regional Customer Service Manager the name plate read on the desk.  Every time I read it, I felt a sense of pride building up inside me. This is it, it seemed to say. This is where I wanted to be and this is where I had finally reached. 9 years of non stop hard work, tears, sleepless nights, prayers to every deity that possibly existed, wishes made on falling stars- it all seemed worth while now.  If someone were to ask me about my journey I did not remember anything about it. The only thing I remembered was the starting point and my destination. I knew this was not my destination but it was one of the destinations I had envisaged for myself at some point of time. Though the success was definitely giddy I still remembered my roots very clearly. I remembered that night when it had all ended or perhaps when it had all started for me. *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

Touched

Source: Google Images I remember your first touch… each moment, each movement carefully etched on my soul. Gazing into your deep dark eyes I unearth a desire which only I can suffice. Holding me by my waist you pull me closer, outlining each and every curve of my body. Tender…..yet passionate…soft yet maddening… that’s how your touch is. It is like that stone which falls into water creating ripples and then drowns in its vastness. As the passion makes me sway you hold me tightly in your arms. Clutching me delicately like a flower…waiting to be taken, You smother me with kisses as a wave of want engulfs us Fingers intertwined together you pull me closer…closer…dipping deeper and deeper in the ocean of desire. There is an unknown music to which our bodies sway...Tides and ebbs…ebbs and tides... The waves just refusing to stop. You unveil the darkest corners hidden in me…filling up the crevices with abundance. That one touch...Which takes me up to the peak ...

Book review: Demons in Big Easy by Jamie Marchant

Introduction   Adventurous in her youth, Cassandra built gateways between Domhan and its parallel realm of Earth. Now she’s too old for that kind of thing. But something is making it easier for demons to pass into Domhan. Not only that, but their behavior becomes inexplicable: whenever Cassandra banishes one, it laughs at her rather than resists, and it promises it will soon devour her essence and that of every resident of her small village. Cassandra is certain such a thing is impossible, for strong wards protect her village. But then Cassandra’s granddaughter Aine falls through an unstable gateway. Cassandra is the only one within a hundred miles capable of creating a gateway and bringing Aine back. Despite her aching joints, Cassandra goes after her, and the gateway lands her in New Orleans. But something goes wrong with her tracking spell, which indicates Aine exists in four different places at once. As Cassandra struggles to find the true location of her granddaugh...

YOU+ME=WE

Source: Google Images Fingers intertwined together, I slowly feel your breath As you pull me closer to kiss on my neck. " You are beautiful " you whisper as you clutch my face with both your hands I see a reflection of the love in your eyes which fairytales speak about. There is nothing else that can describe the magic that we share Our hearts are muted as our souls bare. There is a silent music to which our bodies sway Unearthing deep corners of our heart where our desires lay I close my eyes letting your fingers caress my face You grab my waist not letting me shy away from your gaze. You play with my hair creating ripples in my soul, Slowly connecting all the dots and making me whole. I shake my head as I realise I am dreaming once again. We are miles away from each other yet so near... I just have to close my eyes to feel your breath next to mine!

Scared & Scarred

"यत्रा नार्यस्तु पूजयन्ते , रमन्ते तत्र देवता " This is a saying in Sanskrit which means where women are honoured, divinity blossoms there. I think this perfectly describes the chaos our country is experiencing right now. So many cases of rapes and molestation and as if they were not enough we have people who have openly tried to justify rape through their words. It can be termed as verbal rape rather a physical one as it causes equal trauma. Don't believe Me, read it HERE . I strongly believe our words are an expression of our thoughts through which we might want to convince someone by putting across our point or make them change their thoughts. And yes, this post did make Me change my thoughts.Till now I was under the impression that in this male dominated Indian society only a handful of men are left who because of their education and limited exposure look upon women as weaker sex. But I have realised how wrong I was. The writer here is an IAS officer and mos...
