Chronicles of a writer’s world

On a usual tropical evening in Mumbai I had the pleasure of being at CSMVS where Anil Dharker and Amit Chaudhuri were in conversation over the latter’s new release, Friend of my Youth. With an ethereal sunset at the Arabian Sea adorning its beige textured cover; this book is a short and crisp novella revolving around friendship and childhood memories in the city of dreams – Mumbai.

Being a Womaniya!

As a child I used to adore my mom’s friends every time they come home. The cackling laughter, the infectious joy on their faces... some there since her childhood together in every step that they took.   I grew up dreaming of having such friends around me – my besties with whom I could be myself and share the dirtiest secret without a cringe. But somehow that never happened! I had friends who were more like “girls” and perhaps I wasn’t like one. Well to let you know am those types who when under trouble instead of shouting for HELP! Would actually beat the hell out of the trouble to make it whim HELP!!     Source: Google Images

A note to you, my friend!

Dear Dumpling, I know I have told this to you often and very frequently but somehow today I felt like putting it down here as this is the only way I could think of immortalizing our friendship sealing it here in these words forever. In life there are times when we say a lot of things and don’t mean them, mean a lot of things and don’t say and at times we say a lot of things and mean them too. This is one such occasion where I am going to say a lot of things and mean each one of them, truly from my heart! Source: Google Images Some people you meet in life and fall in love with them. Some you meet who fall in love with you. And then there are some, who make you fall in love with yourself. As they show you "YOU" the way you have never seen till now!   I have been very fortunate to have met YOU – who has made me fall in love with myself all over again as you introduced me to a newer myself.

Book Review : Love, Peace & Happiness by Rituraj Verma

Introduction ISBN: 978-93-81836-34-7 Publisher: Leadstart Publishing Pvt Ltd Category : Fiction Price: Rs. 145/- ( P.S: I received it from the author for a review ) I had read somewhere all of us have writers hidden inside with some beautiful stories to share. It is just a matter of picking up a pen to jot it down. ‘ Love, peace and happiness ’ by Rituraj Verma is an innovative concept by the author somewhat based on these lines.   This book has 9 stories revolving around the urban life where the author talks about love, friendship, relationships, marriage, intimacy, trust and other such issues which we face day in and out. He has added a unique touch to this book by giving alternate endings to each story in case you don’t like the ones in the book. He has shared them on his website HERE and still if you are not convinced you even have a chance of writing your own. It is like giving a mike to each one of us and asking us to speak our hearts out.
