Sarah lives in Bucks County, PA, and over the years, she has developed an unhealthy appreciation for Disney movies and bad pop music. Okay one honest confession before we move ahead with the review - I usually avoid fantasy fiction and YA for a single reason. Having grown up on Harry Potter I feel nothing can match its magic and hence never even tried reading it. But when this book came for review I was intrigued by the whole series, googled it and then started reading the book.
To say I was impressed would be wrong. I was completely floored. I went back feeling like a teenager who used to forget food, sleep and the whole world when reading the latest HP series. I have cried with them and laughed with them, this book reminded of that thrill and joy I had enjoyed back then.
The author's writing is flawless so to speak and yes she has ensured now I go back to reading the whole series. The characters, the plot everything was just perfect. Though I have not read any of the previous works for me to warm up to any of those characters and feel emotionally about them, some scenes did give me goose bumps. The execution of the plot is very nicely done leaving not a single dull moment in the book.
Would I recommend it? Oh yes I recommend the whole series! Don't miss this one at any cost.
