Me thinks

Suhel Seth is a man who needs no introduction and a book coming from him on social success if definitely one that needs to be read and re-read. He is known for his brutal honesty but more than that I admire the man for the amount of knowledge he has.

This book revealed a lot of newer aspects to me. There was a time when I used to wonder why I can’t talk beyond a point with some people, he has answered it for me. People who are well read, well-travelled and who are intelligent prefer people who are mentally stimulating than anything else. And that is where I believe my social skills lay!

This book is like the bible for social success each and every lesson so minutely explained that you would feel the author is delivering them to you in person. He has also shared the pros and cons of each and every action to ensure the reader very well knows what to expect after doing something. Believe me when I say this man is a finishing school in himself. The way he talks, he carries himself and he portrays himself – it is all a learning in itself. The language is so easy to understand and interpret that it makes all the lessons more interesting and gripping for he writes in a conversational style not leaving a single boring moment in the whole book.

A read for all those who aspire to be socially successful – this book holds the key to it all.

Foodie Verdict

This book is like choco mint cookies - crispy, chocolatey, cool like a mint and crunchy!

Book Review: Palestine Wail - Poems by Yahia Lababidi

In Palestine Wail: Poems , Yahia Lababidi creates a profound and unflinching exploration of the ongoing Palestinian crisis, drawing from his own heritage and heartbreak to reflect on a political and humanitarian catastrophe that has unfolded across decades. This collection, imbued with personal history, political outrage, and spiritual contemplation, serves as both a witness to injustice and a call to humanity. The work’s origins lie deeply in Lababidi’s own roots—his Palestinian grandmother, Rabiha Dajani, was forced to flee Jerusalem at gunpoint, a traumatic event that reverberates throughout Lababidi’s poetry.  As an Arab-American writer, Lababidi is uniquely positioned to speak on the intersection of identity, politics, and human rights. His poetry, both personal and political, draws a clear line between the suffering of the Palestinian people and the complicity of global powers in perpetuating that suffering. Through his words, Lababidi eloquently counters the equation that Z...
