About the Author
Door-to-door salesman, copywriter, business journalist & assistant editor at The Economic Times; Shatrujeet Nath was all this before he took to writing fiction full-time. He debuted with The Karachi Deception in 2013, followed by The Guardians of the Halahala and The Conspiracy at Meru, the first two books in the Vikramaditya Veergatha series. At present, he is writing volume three of the series. Shatrujeet lives in Mumbai, but spends much of his time in the fantasy worlds of his stories.

Ok... please don't judge me for this one - This is the first book I read of the author! *sheepish grin*
I don't know how I missed the previous part of this amazing series and now that I know what I have missed I am wasting no moment in grabbing the first part as well. What strikes you about this book is the detailing! Like I have always mentioned in my previous reviews as well, stories where there is a combination of mythology mixed with facts and fiction there needs to be a lot of detail for the reader to stay glued onto it. If the same things keep repeating it does tend to get boring. But here, the reader is in for a treat and not only through words but also visually because the detailing leads to some vivid descriptions which make all of it come alive. Reading this book was a thrilling experience. You just don't want it to end! [ Now I understood the wait of the readers of the previous part for this one because now even I cannot wait for the next one!]
With characters that are so strong and unique, the story line progresses at a demonic speed leaving you no choice but to keep turning pages to keep up pace with the narration. The author has a knack with narratives, he breathes life into them, introduces you to them and takes you along the fantasy ride along with them where they do what he wants them to do and you just stand there rooted witnessing it all. There is lot of action and strategies to experience closely in this part of the series. The characters are also very well enhanced and don't seem to mere cut outs or extensions of the author's imagination. Their names are as unique as their roles in the story, making them leave a deep impression on your mind.
Not having read the previous parts in a no way hampered my reading though yes it would have made it seem more like homecoming. Something I experience with Harry Potter series.Perhaps after HP this is one series I am really going to follow, collect and ofcourse keep going back to for various reasons.
Needless to add, strongly recommended read for everyone. This is one story that should not be missed!

This book is like Nai Appam - a perfect combination of sweet , crunchy, melting in the mouth moments with strong ties of tradition and culture binding it!
