Dream On Dreamer

I am an eternal dreamer, that's how I like to call myself. For I dream a lot. I dream small, I dream big, I dream about laughter and I dream about tears too. But it is these dreams that somewhere tell me what my heart wishes for as it is said "Dreams are wishes made by your hearts!"

Just like each one of you my dreams were laughed at sometimes and at other instances were completely ignored. Still there was a tiny voice inside my heart which kept saying, "Maybe there are not able to understand what you are saying. Why don't you make it come true and show it to them. Perhaps then they will." And so began a long journey of running, falling, getting up again just to falter one more time.

Yes there are roadblocks and pit falls but it never promised to be easy. For the smile that comes after all this is worth it all. Have you ever wondered what goes behind a smile?  Tons of joy, loads of hardships, fistful of dreams, pinch of sorrow , sprinkled graciously with a zeal to LIVE no matter what! At times I pinch myself to believe it is all true while otherwise I just continue to exist in that dreamy state for if it is a dream then I never want to wake up.

Today as I sit to write editor's note for the second issue of Writer's E-zine, all I can do is smile and whisper a quiet THANK YOU to Him and to each one of you for your faith and belief in me. At times when I had began to lose mine it is your belief that helped me sail through as it quietly reminded me:

“Dreams are the seeds from which beautiful tomorrows grow.” ~Namrata

It is a moment of pride when dreams come true but it is a moment of joy when you see many dreams come true together through that one dream of yours. WE is one such dream whose coming true will ensure coming true of many other dreams too.

Book Review: Palestine Wail - Poems by Yahia Lababidi

In Palestine Wail: Poems , Yahia Lababidi creates a profound and unflinching exploration of the ongoing Palestinian crisis, drawing from his own heritage and heartbreak to reflect on a political and humanitarian catastrophe that has unfolded across decades. This collection, imbued with personal history, political outrage, and spiritual contemplation, serves as both a witness to injustice and a call to humanity. The work’s origins lie deeply in Lababidi’s own roots—his Palestinian grandmother, Rabiha Dajani, was forced to flee Jerusalem at gunpoint, a traumatic event that reverberates throughout Lababidi’s poetry.  As an Arab-American writer, Lababidi is uniquely positioned to speak on the intersection of identity, politics, and human rights.
