Me thinks

Being a finance student and having worked in investment banking for a decade reading such books is more like revision for me as it takes me back to the fundamentals I had learnt back then to implement in both work and personal capacity.

This book contains 7 original exercises which help a reader understand all about financial aspects, how to earn, save and multiply it. The exercises are fun and easy to understand making it an engaging read. Some very practical and doable tips which will actually make you wonder why you never thought of it till now.It is said that nothing is impossible in life, and the author proves it by this book. With her useful tips on investments and earnings she makes it seem plausible that one can actually turn into a millionaire if one decides it and works towards it.

Reprogram is the word the author uses to create mental images in our mind related to wealth and money. She helps us reprogram our minds to each where we want to be atleast in terms of finance. Though it seems very trivial but when you begin to notice that how small things contribute the bigger cause leading to the drain in your pocket that is when you understand the gravity of the whole thing.

Small yet regular saving habits led to a long way and in no place does the author ask the reader to compromise on the living standards or curbing the basic wants. That is perhaps what makes the book an engrossing read because of its practicability.

Strongly recommended to everyone who enjoys books on finance and wants to know more about handling finances.

Foodie Verdict

This book is like Lemon Curd Tart - Something that is considered as the most basic desert and yet remains an all time favourite!

Book Review: Palestine Wail - Poems by Yahia Lababidi

In Palestine Wail: Poems , Yahia Lababidi creates a profound and unflinching exploration of the ongoing Palestinian crisis, drawing from his own heritage and heartbreak to reflect on a political and humanitarian catastrophe that has unfolded across decades. This collection, imbued with personal history, political outrage, and spiritual contemplation, serves as both a witness to injustice and a call to humanity. The work’s origins lie deeply in Lababidi’s own roots—his Palestinian grandmother, Rabiha Dajani, was forced to flee Jerusalem at gunpoint, a traumatic event that reverberates throughout Lababidi’s poetry.  As an Arab-American writer, Lababidi is uniquely positioned to speak on the intersection of identity, politics, and human rights. His poetry, both personal and political, draws a clear line between the suffering of the Palestinian people and the complicity of global powers in perpetuating that suffering. Through his words, Lababidi eloquently counters the equation that Zioni
