Sangita Sinclair was not always this successful & passionate lady, heading the NGO “Penn Urimai” for downtrodden, abused and homeless women….
When Sangita catches the eye of Gautam Sinclair she is a simple, homely girl; utterly unaware of her charms & capabilities. She has the devil’s own time in overcoming her inhibitions, hesitation, and her family’s orthodox and outdated rules before recognising her love for Gautam.

Sundari as a writer has been one of my favourites for the light breezy romantic reads that she conjures every now and then. I simply enjoy switching off from reality and walking into a dreamy world full of love and possibilities with her beautiful narration for company.
This is the story of Sangita more than anybody else's and Sundari has managed to breathe life in this character. She makes Sangita breathe and paint life in the 250+ pages of this book as she shares her story with us.
Living in a country like ours where being a woman in itself is considered a crime not to forget the other zillion of crimes women commit day in and out starting from dressing up wrong to thinking for herself this story seems like a mirror of the society reflecting all the chaos that it holds within. The best part is the author doesn't preach anything. She has successfully managed to keep her own views and thoughts to herself, not letting it affect the characters and giving them a unique strong voice which is audible to the reader long after one has finished reading the book.
I like the ease with which Sundari plays with both emotions and romance in right proportions. She knows when to strike the right chord to create a perfect scene for a reader which is a treat in itself. I am sure there are a lot of women out of there who would be able to connect with the character of Sangita. Maybe not on widowhood at large but her fears of accepting the good things in life which finally walk up to her after a long phase of negativity reflect the human mindset very well. The skepticism and its depiction is what creates a thoroughly enjoyable read.
A surely recommended read for romance lovers and for believers, people who believe that miracles happen and that life changes for good just when we are least expecting it to.
