Me thinks

In today’s times when the attention span of an average reader is decreasing day by day managing to grab his attention for approximately 250 pages and ensuring that he is hooked till the end is an achievement in itself. And that is where I admire the author Vinit K Bansal. In the last few years he has managed to carve a niche for himself as an author who manages to move the masses, make them sway in love , cry in hurt and smile at the wonderful memories of love that he manages to recreate in his stories.

If an ardent reader like me were to read his works, it would be wrong of us to judge him for we tend to apply logic to the plot, figuring out the loose ends in the storyline and searching for characteristics of the hero-heroine which make them distinctive. But here those rules shouldn’t be applied for this book is like a masala Bollywood flick wherein you should sit back and enjoy all the flavours presented to you – action, romance, friendship, murder, mystery, tragedy, comedy all in all complete entertainment.

The story is of two friends, who are inseparable. Enter a girl and all the hell breaks loose. She loves one while the other loves her. And here begins the entire saga of love, intimacy, murder, tragedy and all the action that makes this book a perfect roller coaster ride with ups and downs throughout the plot making it difficult for the reader to guess the ending.

If I apply my reviewer logic there are a lot of questions that come to my mind once I finish the book as it seems like a city or rather a place where youngsters run the whole show with no grown-ups having any role to play ( I mean parents categorically) . There are a few loose-ends but that no way deters the thrill of reading this book.

This book would be loved and devoured by all for it is a complete package in every sense, if one page makes you smile the other will make you fall in love. Recommended for readers who enjoy such complete entertainers purely for the mass appeal they have and the fun they bring along in reading them

Foodie Verdict

Book Review: Palestine Wail - Poems by Yahia Lababidi

In Palestine Wail: Poems , Yahia Lababidi creates a profound and unflinching exploration of the ongoing Palestinian crisis, drawing from his own heritage and heartbreak to reflect on a political and humanitarian catastrophe that has unfolded across decades. This collection, imbued with personal history, political outrage, and spiritual contemplation, serves as both a witness to injustice and a call to humanity. The work’s origins lie deeply in Lababidi’s own roots—his Palestinian grandmother, Rabiha Dajani, was forced to flee Jerusalem at gunpoint, a traumatic event that reverberates throughout Lababidi’s poetry.  As an Arab-American writer, Lababidi is uniquely positioned to speak on the intersection of identity, politics, and human rights. His poetry, both personal and political, draws a clear line between the suffering of the Palestinian people and the complicity of global powers in perpetuating that suffering. Through his words, Lababidi eloquently counters the equation that Zioni
