About the Author [ Taken from http://www.artihonrao.net]

Arti Honrao has a passion for different genres of writing and hence was born Sfth, a platform to showcase her poems, short stories, quotes and sensible articles. Most of her writing depicts human feelings and emotions, which she tries to bring out onto the page and into the minds of the reader. She believes that the essence of writing lies in not only entertaining the reader, but speaking to them through her words.

'Me' Thinks

Both the stories are woven around a common theme of love and friendship. The author, Arti explores the beauty of human relationships very beautifully. She handles the emotions involved with a lot of grace because of which you don't pity the characters when they are going through a bad time though you do feel sad for them.

'Is this love' is a poigant tale of two friends who see their friendship through tinted glasses where it can never turn into love. I would call this one a cute love story. It is said that finding a friend in your lover might be impossible, but finding a lover in your friend wont be that difficult. Arti handles this subject very aptly making us go through all the emotions with the lead characters - Vishal and Sheetal. Even a delicate topic like divorce have been portrayed with all its dignity. The joy of friendship, the beauty of romance, the excitement of marriage, the pain of a heartbreak, the hurt of a divorce - you feel this all while you turn the pages of this story. And in the end you are both crying and laughing at the same time. Crying because it has touched you and stirred some hidden emotions deep inside and laughing because of the happy ending. My favourite quote 'God is great'

'Autumn- The Last Leaf' is also a tale of two friends but with a twist. I would call this a mystery. Suspense, thrill and the paranormal have added magic to the story telling skills of Arti. She manages to create a very intricate net of emotions that it is difficult to even guess what is going to happen next. It is best left to her.Reading this story reminded me of Tell Me Your Dreams by Sidney Sheldon. Believe me when I say as I read the last page I was saying Shhh.. Nooooo......This can't be happening. That was the last thing on my mind as an ending to this story. Brilliant narration does full justice in building up the tempo.

Both the stories are a must read who enjoy reading thrillers and short stories. This book makes a light reading making it enjoyable to read it.

Foodie verdict

This book is like a popcorn. Very tempting, enjoyable to the last bit and leaves a nice aftertaste in the mouth [ read MIND]. Truly some food for thought!

Book Review: Palestine Wail - Poems by Yahia Lababidi

In Palestine Wail: Poems , Yahia Lababidi creates a profound and unflinching exploration of the ongoing Palestinian crisis, drawing from his own heritage and heartbreak to reflect on a political and humanitarian catastrophe that has unfolded across decades. This collection, imbued with personal history, political outrage, and spiritual contemplation, serves as both a witness to injustice and a call to humanity. The work’s origins lie deeply in Lababidi’s own roots—his Palestinian grandmother, Rabiha Dajani, was forced to flee Jerusalem at gunpoint, a traumatic event that reverberates throughout Lababidi’s poetry.  As an Arab-American writer, Lababidi is uniquely positioned to speak on the intersection of identity, politics, and human rights. His poetry, both personal and political, draws a clear line between the suffering of the Palestinian people and the complicity of global powers in perpetuating that suffering. Through his words, Lababidi eloquently counters the equation that Zioni
