Her many international bestsellers include Past Perfect, Fairytale, The Right Time, The Duchess, Against All Odds, Dangerous Games, The Mistress, and other highly acclaimed novels. She is also the author of His Bright Light, the story of her son Nick Traina’s life and death; A Gift of Hope, a memoir of her work with the homeless; Pure Joy, about the dogs she and her family have loved; and the children’s books Pretty Minnie in Paris and Pretty Minnie in Hollywood.Having read Danielle Steel throughout my growing up years, her books hold a very special place in my heart, life and of course my shelf. She is a writer who has carved a niche for herself, with a genre that is uniquely hers.
In her latest offering, Fall from grace, she delivers what her readers across the world expect from her - a heartwarming read about the real strength of a woman and to what extent can it go if pushed beyond her boundaries. With stellar characters, sharp and relatable this story takes you to the world of Sydney Wells.
After her husband's untimely death leaves her with nothing, in every sense. And she is forced to restart her life from where she had left it before her marriage. After a lot of trials and tribulations, she manages to reach a space where she is satisfied with herself and her life that she has created. Her journey is moving, inspiring and at many places extremely heartwarming. The narrative is slow-paced like all Danielle Steel novels, for that is what sets the tone. Known for her strong women characters, the author doesn't disappoint in this one either. The over all tone of the book is one that can be considered inspiring for it silently tells the readers, never give up. Despite everything that comes your way and that is what makes it a special read for me.
The story might look wafer thin but it has been extremely well layered by the author making it an engaging read, one that leaves you curious to know what next. The book is a perfect read for a lazy summer afternoon, with endless cups of tea for after finishing it, it feels as if a close friend of yours just bared her heart to you.
Recommended, for all Danielle Steel lovers, she does it yet again. And if you have never read Danielle Steel, this is a brilliant start - light and wonderful read.
